United Continental Holdings, Inc.’s (UAL - Free Report) wholly owned subsidiary United Airlines has announced plans to enhance travel experience for customers during the upcoming ski season. The carrier will be offering more than 100 flights with 10,000 plus seats daily to reach 12 top ski destinations across the United States.
United Airlines, which covers the maximum number of ski destinations in the United States compared with its fellow players, will initiate services connecting Denver with Mammoth Lakes plus Los Angeles with Eagle/Vail, Sun Valley and Mammoth Lakes. Tickets on these routes are already available for booking.
Apart from these new services, the carrier will ramp up daily operations on routes connecting San Francisco with Eagle/Vail and Jackson Hole for the entire winter season. During the holidays, United Airlines will also add a second daily flight from Chicago to Eagle/Vail as well as between San Francisco and Bozeman.
As far as benefits and perks for the privileged members are concerned, United MileagePlus members travelling to ski destinations can avail of Everyday Awards (a type of air travel award with prices varying from flight to flight) on flights operated by United Airlines and United Express.
Shares of SkyWest and Trinity have rallied more than 31% and 18%, respectively. Meanwhile, Ryder boasts an impressive earnings history, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the preceding four quarters with an average beat of 4.5%.
